Rarely did I get to break news on the Focus page, but this was one time that I did. The folks at Chapman University were releasing the results of a big nationwide study on fear and what makes Americans afraid. They offered me an early look at the data, which gave me the ability to run this page the day the study was released. This ended up being a big national story and, for once, I was in front of it all. I was worried about lead art until I realized Munch's "the Scream" is in the public domain. In the end, one of my more spectacular Focus pages.
