Here’s one I really, really wanted to do but nearly didn’t have time to write and build, thanks to all the “Star Wars” work I was doing. This flashback page addresses NASA’s first successful rendezvous in Earth orbit, when Gemini 6A caught up to and flew “in formation” with Gemini 7, which was in the middle of a 14-day endurance test. The problem was: Gemini 6 almost didn’t make it off the pad. NASA rose to the challenge to turn multiple failures into a raging success. A fun story. I hope I did it justice. Dec. 13, 2015
