I thought this was significant enough to merit a page, especially when you see the timeline entry for June 1998. In an interview with ABC News, Osama bin Laden says the fact that the U.S. pulled out of Lebanon right after this proves our country was "unprepared to fight." You know what bin Laden did three years later. Another interesting nugget in the timeline: Feb. 2008: The man indicted for masterminding the bombing is killed in Damascus. By a car bomb. Oct. 23, 2013.
