As I began my research, I found all sorts of angles to take with this. But the ones that fascinated me the most were about the speech itself -- how it was worded, how King developed his "I have a dream" theme over the course of a year or so. And how the most memorable part of this particular speech was done off the top of his head, having discarded his notes at the urging of Mahalia Jackson. Fascinating stuff. Aug. 28, 2013.
