Portfolio images

A relatively straight retelling of the fall of the Shah, the return of the Ayatollah and the taking of the U.S. embassy 35 years ago. The mug shots and the embassy photo are AP file photos. I wanted a scene-setting photo of a mob in Tehran but this Wikipedia Commons picture was the best I could find and it was a bit blurry, so it really didn't merit huge play. Hence, the typographical trick. It worked this time, but I wouldn't want to try this too often. Friday, Jan. 31
