Cover of #56 issue of the Brazilian (based in London) indie-magazine Jungle Drums, which I was the art director from July 07' - July 08'.
The cover story was about the work of the brazilian photographer Bárbara Wagner, from Pernambuco. She portraited a whole serie of pictures from this weird guys from Brasilia Teimosa, a borough in Recife.
"In Bárbara's photographs of the urban beach of Brasília Teimosa, loud colours, stark shapes and lashings of light depict supposedly flawed standards of beauty, revealing a sense of joy in a world that requires enormous strenght of character."
An exibition ran at ICA - Institute of Comteporary Arts in London, from 12th to 20th of April.
