Cover of #57 issue of the Brazilian (based in London) indie-magazine Jungle Drums, which I was the art director from July 07' - July 08'.
This issue was one of the most complicated to get done. 6 days before the final print day, our lovely editors decided to change the cover subject. So we had a few days to come with a new idea, concept, and off course, cover solution.
The concept was chosen and I since I had little time, I needed a pair of good hands to come up with the illustration. So I spoke to Alessandra Kalko, the excelent art director of the incredible conceived, world-wide-awarded brazilian magazine Superinteressante, from Abril Press in Brazil.
She was in London the month before and she knew how things were at Jungle (our guerrilla way of life, so many to do, so lil' time and budget), so she joined our army and did this splendid illustration for both cover and cover story opener.
