With Harvey taking direct aim at us, it made sense to turn our daily Page Two into a hurricane utility page. Maggie Gordon had written a nice piece on what to do in advance to prepare for flooding — after all, it’s flooded here two or three times just since we moved to Texas. I inserted a huge batch of links to our online Harvey resources and, in lieu of a secondary story, repurposed a graphic I had one a year-and-a-half ago on the biggest monthly rainfall incidents in history. This turned out to be a good move: Within five days, we had more than doubled the longest bar on that chart.
