For page A2, we used a statistical look at Houston’s year written by the Kinder Institute at Rice University. The challenge was how to put it all together attractively. I stacked the story into five columns and tried my best to squeeze the charts into shapes that would work. Clarissa Contreras finished off the top of the page with a Mark Mulligan photo. Not bad.
