We had a good four-column space to fill and a lot of material to put in there. I was asked to pull it all together with this color graphic. By-the-numbers hold down the top. I showed five-year survival rates and then ran — with an awful lot of text — risk factors. The illustration was from Tribune News Service. Atop that ill, I placed instructions for how to perform a breast self-exam. Degree of difficulty: No one really wanted me to show an actual breast in the paper. Note the very subtle nipple on the three breast icons at the bottom. Sept. 27, 2015
