My friends at the Huntsville Times, still reeling from the terrifying tornado that swept through their city, observed the two-week anniversary of that storm by running an enormous special section rounding up their fine stories and pictures. They wanted a gigantic relief map showing the 90-mile path the storm took across their state. I was delighted to take the assignment for them. The Times' Challen Stephens did an excellent job with the text blurbs and Paul Wallen art-directed long-distance while I pushed pixels around back in Virginia Beach. This ran across a color doubletruck. May 2011.
