I was asked to design several pages in our tabloid e-edition extra section the weekend after Christmas. For this spread — the first of two — I used only Christmas-themed photos. I loved the Santa-at-the-parking-meter picture, which never managed to make it into print that week. Problem solved. I made the focal point that wonderful candlelit shot. And see the little baby at right, lit in blue? The colors kept getting washed out of that one, so I used it here untoned.
