Back in the spring, I'd hear this godawful squawking from time to time in the trees outside my apartment. Turned out to be wild parrots. The paper has written about these birds several times over the years, so I found plenty to work from in our files. My favorite part of the page is the headline atop the bit about how loud they are, at lower left. June 25, 2013.
