After my page on high school sports participation, I wanted to do something to run on Opening Day of the new NFL season. And the conversation in these parts always comes around to: Will we EVER get another NFL team here in the Los Angeles area? The aim here was to look at franchise movements into and out of California and to mix the NFL in with baseball, basketball and hockey. What's missing, though, are expansion franchises. So you don't see the Anaheim Angels or the Mighty Ducks here. Perhaps I didn't think this through well enough. Or maybe I should have swapped out the label and the main headline -- yeah, I think that might have been better. Perhaps. Sept. 5, 2013.
